It was pretty transparent and straight forward. a 15 minute recruiting screen then a 30-45 min technical interview. Finally a meeting with a possible team you may work with. The technical interview will be a leetcode medium or hard. It may be 1 to 2 questions, varying on the allocated interview time.

The whole process was super quick and the recruiter was really on the ball. It kicks off with a chat with the recruiter. Then you talk to the CTO. We went over my background, the general setup at Gro, and what I was looking for. Just so you know, they're expanding, so there are tons of openings. After the CTO chat, it's all technical. There were two coding interviews. One was pretty standard algorithm stuff like LeetCode, the other was building a basic text game. Honestly, not sure why they needed two, one seemed enough. Following the coding tests, there were interviews on system design and troubleshooting. For system design, it was about adding a feature to a globally used app. Troubleshooting covered the basics of memory, threading, caches, and latency (like p99). There were probably one or two more interviews after that, but that's as far as I got. Mostly, the interviewers seemed more into stuff you can study for than my actual work history. If you put in a few weeks grinding LeetCode and watching YouTube videos on design interviews, you'll probably be fine, even with less real-world experience.

It was a 1-hour technical interview via video call, primarily focusing on algorithms and data structures. They asked one question about implementing sorting algorithms, which didn't really allow for discussion on building and scaling real-world applications. For the entire hour, we worked on one algorithm question, and there was no talk about my past experience or how I'd fit technically with the company. The interviewer seemed unprepared, as I had to wait for them to get set up.
