You apply to GCS and they put you in a pool of jobs. They have this event called Shining Stars once a year where you can talk to someone from the district. This interview is something schools see when they want to hire you. After applying to the pool, you can call schools that have openings to see if they'll consider you for a job. At my school, the principal and an assistant principal talked with me and asked about my teaching style, my ideas about education, and how I'd handle different scenarios.

A principal reached out and we scheduled an interview. I met with the principal and assistant principal. We talked about teaching strategies, how I'd manage the classroom, my past experience, and any projects I had in mind. We also discussed teamwork and being a team player. They wanted to know my thoughts on aligning with other teachers and collaborating on lesson plans. The interview felt very welcoming.
