Behavioral

I had a first round phone interview. The HR person doing the screening was robotic, impersonal, and couldn't have seemed less interested in the entire conversation. From the moment the interview started, it seemed like she would rather be doing anything else. This was the worst first impression and gave me a permanent ick for Greenstone. I don't think I would ever be compelled to apply again.

This interview felt really bad, like I was being judged and looked down on. They asked me stuff about my education for the first hour, not even related to the job. Then, for the next hour, they asked the HR questions. They also printed the mission statement and asked me to explain it and how my job duties fit in. I've interviewed here before and I'm starting to think they might be biased. They even asked if I knew what an asset or liability was, and for formulas they use daily even though they use computers for it. It felt like they just wanted to check if I was smart. I think it might be discrimination, or maybe that's just how this person is. I didn't get the job, and they said it wasn't because of me.

It started with a web-based personality test. After that, there was a telephone Screening Interview with an HR person. A few days later, I had an in-person interview with my would-be supervisor which went great. They were very friendly and open. Just under a week later, I had a final in-person interview with 2 of my would-be peers. It was again very friendly, comfortable and relaxed.

Behavioral

Had a telephone interview that lasted about 90 minutes. It was a structured interview, and it was all behavioral questions. They asked about how I faced challenges in the workplace and how I dealt with difficult situations. Also asked if I would discuss difficulties in understanding a process with family and friends, and if so, why.
