Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Greenphire.
Project Manager
Four rounds of interviews, ending with an in person interview. They wrote down key process points during the onsite. Then they indirectly asked if I was interested in another position. I declined and asked them to thank the people I spoke with. It's odd to not know if a candidate fits after 4 rounds. No reason was given for not proceeding, no feedback on my experience or what was missing. Maybe they got ideas for their process from the interviews. I don't know because feedback was never shared. Be informed, be careful if wasting your time is my point.
- Many questions about the process, enough to understand what they are missing, perhaps.
Project Manager
The hiring process was great from the beginning. Jenn, the recruiter, was excellent, knowledgeable, and clear about the process and pay. I had an in-person interview pretty quickly. The in-person interview was even better. The staff was very friendly! They asked great questions to gauge understanding of the role and team fit. I can honestly say it was an enjoyable interview. I got an offer about a week and a half after interviewing.
- Can you tell me what you know about Greenphire and our services?
- Tell me about your experience with project management.
- How would you handle specific work issues? (scenario questions)
Project Manager
I had an initial phone chat with the recruiter. After that, I was invited to a virtual job fair via Zoom. There, I spoke with five different managers for about 15 minutes each. In between those meetings, I had the chance to chat with some other team members and ask them questions about the role and the company culture. The recruiter introduced me and highlighted some of my experience. I got a really good vibe for the job and the people.
- Can you describe a challenging situation you encountered and explain how you resolved it?
