Designer
The interview process was pretty easy with no tricky questions. The manager and recruiter were friendly, and the conversation flowed well. It gave a solid first impression of GPI.
- Can you tell me about the projects you've worked on?
- What prompted your departure from your previous role?
- What makes you interested in joining GPI?
Intern
I found out about this company at my school's career fair. I then got in touch with the head of the department I'd be working in. About a month after that, they reached out to me for an online Teams interview with the department head and one of the project managers.
- Tell me about how you spend your free time.
- What courses have you completed?
- Do you have any experience related to this specific area of civil engineering?
Multimedia Specialist
First I got an email to set up a call with the Marketing Director and CMO. It was pretty casual, they asked about my past work and projects. The call was about 90 minutes. Then they asked me to come to their offices for a formal interview. It was a 3 hour drive. The interview went great, they dug deeper into my experience and what I could contribute. They said they needed someone creative and hard-working, and I felt I fit that. We then had lunch, which was casual and felt like they were just checking me out as a person. I met a bunch of people in the office and got the company handbook. They asked about salary requirements and I left without an offer. About 2 weeks later, I got an email with an offer letter and accepted.
- What do you like best about video production?
Lidar Technician
First, I heard from HR for a basic chat. Then, I had a virtual meeting with the head of the group, the team lead, and HR. They asked me about my past work, explained the job and its perks, and mostly wanted to know my motivation for this role and company. It felt pretty laid-back and like a chat, though they did go over things from the job posting a bit too much.
- What makes you want to apply for this job?
- What experience do you have that's relevant to this role?
- What is your interest in our company?
