So there were 4 rounds in total. The first two were with the third party recruiting company. The most technical interview was the one before the final, and the final interview was more focused on gauging my understanding of markets.

Technical Behavioral Case

The process was quite long. It started with a recruiter call from Freshminds, then two interviews and a test. After that, there was an assessment center with the Greenhill team. It was standard stuff, covering analyst to senior staff exposure, and included a mix of technical, fit, and commercial questions. It was a great process, and the team environment was very collegial and welcoming.

Since there doesn't seem to be a dedicated HR team for graduate recruitment in the UK, it's outsourced to an external firm. My first interview was with this firm, and then the subsequent interview was with Greenhill at their London offices. The first stage of the final day involved two 1:1 interviews with an associate and a VP, both of whom had prior experience at bulge bracket firms before moving to Greenhill. One interviewer was quite aggressive and dismissive of my opinions, while the other was neutral. I'd suggest being prepared to defend your viewpoint assertively, even if it seems almost impolite. The offices were nice, located in West London. An unusual aspect was that their summer interns were interviewing alongside other candidates, which is different from most firms that have separate exit interviews for interns. While I appreciate looking for the best talent, one would think a firm could assess an intern's value after they've worked there for the summer.
