I spoke with the recruiter first, then I interviewed with the VP of Marketing. She was late to the call, not dressed professionally, and seemed to lack experience in Life Science marketing. The questions were typical, but her lack of knowledge about social media, webinars, and similar topics was really concerning. Also, the job was advertised as fully remote, but I was told during the interview that I'd need to travel about once a month. They wanted to continue with the process, but I declined because of these issues, as I didn't want to be in a position where I'd have to 'manage up' constantly.

I applied online and heard back from a recruiter about 10 days later. They did a quick phone screening, and then I had an on-site interview with HR and a director. It was a good, relaxed 65-minute chat. A few days after that, I got to tour the factory and meet some of the team. Everyone seemed great.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was a positive experience. The right interviewers were present, and the atmosphere was engaging and relaxed. They answered all my questions effectively. It felt more like a mutual discussion to get acquainted rather than a formal interview, which I believe was a suitable approach for this role. This method allowed both parties to understand each other better and helped me decide if Greenfield is a place I'd want to work.

Behavioral

I showed up for the interview and the guy I was interviewing with seemed very disengaged, uninterested, and seemed like he had been smoking pot. After about 20 minutes he told me they had already offered the job to someone else who had accepted that morning. A call before I wasted my time getting prepped and driving out would have been the considerate thing to do.
