The interview was brief and direct, focusing on my experience and professional growth. They talked about my growth within the company and other internal programs. The role was for a Starbucks development position. This was after Brian Niccol became CEO, and then there were brand-wide layoffs announced shortly after. I'm not sure if that would have affected the position.

So after I applied online, I had an in-person interview with the hiring manager. It was pretty chill, just talking about my experience, background, and career goals. They also had me do a 30-minute AutoCAD test right there with the hiring manager watching. Then, I had a second in-person interview with the hiring manager, someone from the planning team, and the head of the planning department.

I was supposed to meet with all the directors, but one had a site visit so I only met with one design director. He was a bit reserved at first, but we started talking more and he warmed up. It was a pretty laid-back interview, we looked through my portfolio, and I learned about the firm's history and the types of projects I'd work on. I also got an office tour and met some staff. He mentioned I'd get a call the next week for a follow-up to meet the other directors. I never got the call. When I followed up, they said they were still 'assessing their needs' and would have an answer soon. Never heard back, so their communication isn't great.
