Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Greenberg Traurig.
Paralegal
So after submitting my application, they reached out and I had a first interview with an Associate and a Senior Paralegal. Then, there was a second interview with a Partner and someone from HR.
- What motivated your decision to pursue law?
- What specifically attracts you to Greenberg Traurig?
- Could you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Litigation Paralegal
This was one of the worst interviews I've ever had. They expected me to be available for one partner who started work before 5:30 am and also keep up with another partner who worked until 11 pm. They mentioned that the previous person in this role had 'a hard time explaining the demand to her partner and she left because of those problems,' which I also found difficult to comprehend. It's just not the right company for me.
- How do you get ready for a trial?
Legal Assistant
The interview process felt way too long, lasting a month and a half and involving eight staff members, which was strange for a non-managerial role. The main executive wasn't even there. I met with a lot of subordinates and HR folks who probably shouldn't have been involved. It was bad to have me come in three times only to then say they weren't moving forward. Too many opinions slow things down, and most companies get that, sticking to just the key people the candidate would report to.
- Tell me about your experience and skills.
