The interview process was a breeze, moving from initial contact to a written offer really fast. They asked about how I've handled and would handle tough situations, and such. Sadly, the pay wasn't up for discussion, and I had a better offer elsewhere.

When I arrived for the interview, there was no receptionist for over 15 minutes. Eventually, the interviewer came out and had me complete a questionnaire. The questionnaire asked how I'd explain schizophrenia to parents of a newly diagnosed son and how I'd assist someone who's never lived independently or managed shopping. Afterward, the hiring manager and potential supervisor took me in. They presented me with very specific hypothetical situations that seemed tough to tackle without prior training. Throughout the interview, the interviewers' demeanor was consistently flat and unengaging, with no smiles, which felt quite uncomfortable, especially for a mental health organization.

I applied through indeed.com and got a call a few days later for an in person interview. The supervisor and a hiring manager were there, which was different from the usual 4-5 people. Before the interview, I had to fill out a paper application with situational questions about helping a client with a mental illness and asking what I know about schizophrenia. They asked the same questions during the interview. Most questions were about how I'd react to certain client situations. The interview was about 20 minutes, then we discussed benefits and salary. I got a job offer a few days later and could start whenever I wanted.

I put in my application and resume on the website. They reached out pretty quickly, within a few days. We set up a phone interview. After that went well, they scheduled me for an in-person interview. Then, they had me do a job shadow with someone who's already a care manager. On that same day, I had to get my fingerprints done for a background check. I got the job offer within about two weeks after that.
