So my first interview at Great Wolf Lodge was really good, like one of the best I've ever had. The person interviewing me was nice, professional, and seemed really interested in what I'd done. But then the second interview was a whole other story. The interviewer was totally checked out, yawning a lot and typing away without even looking at me. The questions felt totally random and kind of pointed, which made me feel awkward and totally messed with my confidence. It was super unprofessional and made me feel like they weren't serious about my application. I was really hoping for this job, so it was a bummer.

Fair warning they will waste your time. 2 months process overall and they purposefully interview more final round candidates than they intend to hire. No rejection email either. 1st round: 30 minute phone call with hiring manager Round 1.5: 2 stupid online math exams and then a take home case study involving excel and PowerPoint Round 2: 30 minute call with director Round 3: onsite half day with vice president, director of HR, and then another case study

Behavioral Technical Other

The application began with an unusual AI chat which was a bit off-putting, but I continued since I was interested. After that, I never spoke to a real person. The initial chat allowed me to schedule a phone interview, which I did and received email confirmation for. The next day, I got several emails from an AI named Emma. One said my phone interview was canceled, while others scheduled a new, in-person interview for a different date without asking for my availability. I thought about it and decided not to go, feeling they didn't respect my time. About a week later, I received another email about a *different* in-person interview, again without checking my availability or considering my prior cancellation. These emails were still from an AI. It felt weird and unsolicited.

The interview process went pretty well. I arrived and they immediately hit me with some interesting psychological questions. For example, they asked about my favorite cartoon character and the reasoning behind my choice. After that, I got a tour of the whole facility, including a look at my potential workspace. They also inquired about my comfort level and approach to working with diverse groups of people from various backgrounds and ethnicities.
