The interview process was a bit disorganized. They initially scheduled and then rescheduled the interview a couple of times. I had to state that I couldn't continue with the rescheduling due to personal commitments. When I arrived, the main entrance was for employees only, so I was directed to a back entrance. Upon ringing the doorbell at the back, people from the loading dock asked who I was looking for, seeming surprised I was on time. I interviewed with two full interviewers and one person who barely participated. The C-level interviewers were friendly and conducted their part well. However, the person the role would report to was very quiet and didn't contribute much, even on general scientific platforms. The lead interviewer, the CEO, seemed to be fishing for ideas in areas where the company lacked expertise, making me feel like I was being interviewed for potential business ideas and future opportunities based on my knowledge and industry contacts. I wasn't shown the lab where I would be working, which raises concerns about its condition. To top it off, the rejection letter had placeholders like 'insert company name' and 'insert applicant name' still in the text.

Had a 30-minute video call on Microsoft Teams with the hiring manager and two other supervisors. I was really nervous, but they were all super friendly and receptive to my answers. It was a pretty standard interview.

The interview process was very good and had 4 rounds, which gave me a good experience. I wasn't selected, but it was a very good conversation with someone who had a lot of knowledge about the process.
