So the whole interview thing was pretty organized, you know. It started with HR giving me a quick call to check out my background, my current job, how much time I needed to give notice, and what I was looking for salary-wise. Then, I chatted with a team lead who asked why I was interested in Great Learning and leaving my old job, and also how I deal with sales pressure or hitting targets. After that, there was a role-play bit where I had to sell a course like I did before, talking to a fake customer, to see how good my communication and persuasion skills were. Then a manager talked to me more about my future plans, my work attitude, and if I'd fit in. Lastly, HR got back to me to sort out the final details on salary, when I could start, and paperwork. It was a really professional process, all about sales chops and talking well.

This was my very first job interview, so I was pretty nervous. Right after the intro session, the university placement person told me the Group Discussion (GD) and the interview were happening the same day. I felt ready for both because I've done a lot of public speaking. My grades weren't amazing, though. The two people from Great Learning were really nice and seemed young, maybe only 7-10 years older than me, which made it easier to talk to them. The GD took about 15-20 minutes. Afterward, we waited, and an hour later, they announced who got invited for the interview. I was so relieved to hear my name. The interview itself was way more relaxed than I expected. The interviewer was calm and polite, asked a few questions, and I answered confidently. They asked if I had questions, and I asked one, which they answered nicely. We ended on a positive note. A few days later, I saw my name on the results list. It was a great experience overall!
- Given your journey from a PCM (with Economics) student, to graduating in Economics Honours, to doing a data analytics internship, to presenting papers at national and international conferences, and now applying for a sales role, why has your life trajectory been so varied?

The interview process felt irrelevant to the job. It was the worst interview experience. The interviewer seemed uninterested and they wasted my time. They only got back to me 2 months after the final interview.
