I was contacted by a recruiter about an HR role and we scheduled a meeting. But, five minutes before, she messaged that she needed to reschedule and would update me that afternoon about meeting in the next few days. After not hearing back, I tried to follow up and reschedule a few days later, but got no response. Even after trying to follow up multiple times over the next month, there was just silence. If this is how they treat candidates they reach out to, I can only imagine the rest of their recruiting process and employee experience. A simple message saying the position was canceled or they chose another candidate would have been fine. Instead, I'm writing this review pointing out Great Expressions Dental Centers' poor communication and how they ghost candidates.

I applied through another website and heard back about a month later. The first interview was with HR. They really dug into my resume and any employment gaps, but I had solid reasons for them all. The HR person then set up a second interview with a manager and supervisor for the following week. However, at the last minute, I decided not to go to the Zoom interview because the first one felt like an interrogation of my resume, and the pay didn't seem worth that level of scrutiny. I didn't want to go through another grilling session or have two people ask me tough questions. I felt like they were just interviewing people to reject them, especially since the earliest second interview slot was next week, suggesting they were interviewing a lot of candidates for few spots, and I felt I had less experience than others. Based on past experience, when I get that feeling, it's usually right, so I didn't want to waste my time. Plus, reviews mentioned high turnover, rude managers, and bad training.

I was contacted by the Director of Talent Acquisitions via Indeed and had an introductory call with them the same day. Then, I was scheduled to meet via zoom with a Sr. Doctor Recruiter to give me insight into the day-to-day operations. This was followed by a zoom with the Chief of HR to better understand the company and the expectations of the role. To wrap it up, I had a zoom with one of the Regions VPOs to give me insight as to what the fields expectations were of the role. Each zoom occurred on a separate day, but they were flexible with my availability, which I appreciated. I wouldn't have thought about joining if they weren't flexible.

I was contacted on LinkedIn by the VP of Atlanta for the Practice Administrator role. I met with him, and then the next day, I met with a Regional manager. This all happened within a month of being hired. Unfortunately, both the VP and the Regional quit shortly after I was hired, and none of the promises made during the interview were kept. I also had a meeting with a doctor who didn't seem very interested in hiring anyone. It appeared the doctor and the VP didn't agree on things.
