First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Graymont.
Financial Analyst
The interview process was nice. The HR call was very friendly. They introduced the company with lots of details and patiently answered all my questions. They asked a few questions about my resume and also about the job description. It's better to prepare for those well.
- What are the software that you have used?
- Can you discuss the software you have used?
- Tell me about the software you are familiar with.
Junior Engineer
There was one quick phone interview to get a feel for who you are and what you know about the company and two lengthy video call interviews with different hiring managers each time. It took a very long time to get back and gave a false sense of confidence each round. They never got back to me after three interviews until I contacted them to see what was going on after a month.
- Describe the processes used in our industrial mining operation.
Director, Labour and Employee Relations
A headhunter reached out to me. The waiting period before my first interview was longer than I anticipated, but it was during the holidays, so I figured that was why. The company had me meet with many people, which initially seemed unusual, but is probably standard for a director-level position. Although it took a while to get the first interview scheduled, once things got going, the process sped up, and I got an offer pretty fast. Everyone I met was pleasant and helpful, and they answered my questions honestly.
- There were many questions about how I collaborate and work in a team. They really emphasized the importance of finding the right fit. Now that I'm working here, I understand why. Everyone here works well together and seems to be focused on the same goals.
Accountant
I went through 3 stages. First was a phone interview, then an interview with the accounting manager, and then the final step. The HR person kept me updated on what was happening next. The first stage was about my past job experience and what I'm capable of. The second stage focused on my personality. There was also a reference check at the end.
- Tell me about your experience.
- Tell me about your personality.
- Describe a situation and how you would handle it.
