Got wind of Gravity Jack from a buddy who works there. Shot my application over to them, and they passed it to the CEO and project managers. Took a couple months, but I finally heard back for an interview with the Director of Development and a Project Manager. The interview felt pretty straightforward: talked about my work history, schooling, what I'm good at and not so good at, etc. Then I had this simple project to create to show what I could do.

I had an in-person interview with two managers, and after that, a technical interview online. The in-person part included some personality and background questions about my past work, but nothing technical. The online technical interview had three parts with increasing difficulty. The last question was actually easier than the second. They were mostly basic array operations, and I could use any programming language I wanted.

Had a 60 min interview with the CEO (Josh aka Trout) and the head of digital production (Penn). They asked me about my entrepreneurial skills, my character, and my future goals. They were nice and welcoming, and knew how to question me intensely while also making me feel comfortable. I was struck by how focused and helpful they were.
