Claims Adjuster
The interview was super chill and informal. It wasn't a typical big company interview, more like a real-world test. They wanted to know about the operating systems you're familiar with and how you usually get things done.
- Can you tell me about your relevant experience?
- What experience do you have with current operating systems?
- What is your current process?
Social Media Manager
There were four interviews in total: one with the hiring manager (an hour long) and then three more, each lasting 20 minutes, with the Director, an associate, and the manager again. Before the first meeting, I completed a 30-minute case study about a social media campaign, with limited resources. In the end, they were down to two candidates, but then they merged the role I was interviewing for with another role during the hiring decision, which made a lot of what I had prepared irrelevant. This is the second time at this company that an internal change completely altered the job I was applying for mid-process, and because of that, I didn't get an offer.
- Can you discuss your previous work experiences?
- What would you do in a given scenario?
- Tell me about a time you exhibited a certain behavior.
IT Analyst
I applied for the IT Analyst I role a while ago and did two interviews. First, I talked to someone from HR, and then I spoke with the software engineering manager. He mentioned that the role was very technical and asked about my engineering background. I thought I was a good match for it. I didn't hear back for weeks, and then in early August, I got a generic rejection email. They didn't give any feedback or explain anything, and they even messed up my name, which was funny because I had put a typo in on purpose to see if they'd notice. It seemed like they didn't care much, which was disappointing.
- Can you explain how you handle and organize various IT requests?
Total Loss Adjuster
The interview was pretty laid back and not very professional. I talked one-on-one with a claims manager over zoom. The manager seemed like they didn't want to be there or maybe they already picked someone. They said it would be a STAR format interview but didn't explain it, though I knew it already. They mentioned the claim load is about 8-10 new claims daily. Maybe that's why I lost interest, or maybe the manager was just drained too. It wasn't a great experience overall. I didn't get an offer, and honestly, I wouldn't have taken one anyway.
- Can you share an instance where you observed unethical behavior and describe your actions?
- What would be your approach to calling someone out?
