There were 3 interviews total. First was a phone call, then one with the Assistant Store Manager (ASM), and finally the General Manager (GM). All interviews were pretty quick and straightforward. The whole process took about 1 to 2 weeks, although they took a couple of months to respond to my initial application.
- What's your approach to handling a guest who is upset?
Server
They ask you about your previous experience working as a server, waitress, or waiter if you have any. They ask what personality traits, characteristics, or qualities you have that would make you a good server and what qualities you can contribute as a team member. They also inquire about your reliability and your future goals.
- Do you have any prior experience as a server?
- What personal attributes do you have that would make you a great server?
- As a team member, what attributes can you bring to the table?

First, I got a phone call, and then I had an interview over the phone. After that, they set up an in-person interview. I talked to a manager and then the general manager. They asked me a bunch of questions about my background, rules and regulations, how I handle working under pressure, and how I deal with customers in certain situations. They also talked about the characteristics they're looking for and the job duties. It was a good experience.
- Rate the importance of rules and regulations on a scale of 1 to 10 and justify your answer.
- What drives your interest in working for this particular company?
- Imagine you had to tell a customer they need to wait longer because their assigned booth was given to another group. How would you manage this situation?
Server
Basically, if you do well, you'll be called for a second interview. The first interview is with a manager, and the second is with the General Manager. If you're a people person, this interview should be easy because being personable is super important in hospitality.
- Why do you think you'd be a good fit for this role?
- Can you tell me if you work well under pressure?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
