Had a quick call to screen me, then they asked me to come in person for the interview with the manager and HR. The HR was on his phone the whole time and the manager didn't ask good technical questions. They cut the interview short because they had to leave and said they'd let me know. It felt like the job was already given to someone, but they were just going through the motions of interviewing. What a waste of time.

I was happy at first. They wanted to move me to the hiring manager and we had a great interview. The HR contact took over 1.5 weeks to get back to me. They told me I was one of two finalists and asked me what my goal salary was. I restated my original number and they made it clear that might be an issue (the difference was about 5k). I insisted I had been completely honest from the start and we seemed like a good fit, so I wanted to find a way to move forward. They then strung me along for several weeks before never officially telling me they chose someone else. Disappointingly unprofessional.

The hiring process took about 5 weeks in total, but I wasn't selected. It started with a recruiter phone screen, which went fine. Then, a week later, I had a phone interview with the Plant Manager, which also seemed okay. The Plant Manager wanted to bring me in for an in-person interview the following week. This was mainly small talk and questions about my past experience with the Plant Manager again. After that, I had a round with the Corporate Quality Director and another corporate guy. It got confrontational really fast. They kept throwing out wild scenarios and picking apart my answers like I was clueless. They brought up a big quality problem at the plant but didn't take any responsibility. The younger guy had a 'theory' approach, clearly no real experience, and the older one was super aggressive. In the end, they said I didn't get it because the Plant Manager felt I needed a couple more years of experience, even though I met all the job requirements and more. Not a great experience.

I had an interview with a panel of 3 people from the company: a regional manager, a supervisor, and another office manager. The setting was pretty relaxed and comfortable. Each person asked around 3-5 questions, and the whole thing took about 30 minutes. I got to ask any questions I had at the end. They were really professional and gave me good info about the company.
