It was an online interview that went for about an hour. We did intros, then a case study, and finished with a Q&A. The interviewer was nice, which made it less stressful.

It started with an HR call, followed by a take-home design challenge. Then I had to present my design challenge. They communicated the steps clearly after the first initial phone call.

The job title I applied for actually changed during the interview process by the 3rd round. The recruiter wasn't sure about the new title, salary, or ministry, saying those details would be confirmed after the next round. She mentioned she's the main contact for designer roles at Govtech and that external recruiters offer 'not-so-good' contract jobs, which is odd because this opening is contract-based. She got my salary expectations wrong, didn't have job info, and didn't know who I interviewed with, making the conversation confusing. Despite my qualifications, she said I was several levels below my experience. The role also reports to someone with the same title, which caused more confusion. Earlier, during the phone screening, the same recruiter assessed my technical skills but kept cutting me off because she lacked domain knowledge and got frustrated when she heard things she didn't understand. She didn't let me ask questions or provide job details. After multiple interviews, I still don't know what I'm applying for, making it hard to continue in good faith. As the sole representative of a government agency, she used threats, making me question the job postings' credibility. I suggest finding someone more professional who treats candidates with respect and transparency.
