First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GovTech.
Data Scientist
The interview process itself is actually okay and moves along smoothly. After an initial OA, there's a take-home assignment, then a technical panel interview, and after that, a senior leadership interview. Then you're put in a candidate pool. The team is really knowledgeable and friendly. But the hiring process overall is super unclear, slow, and lacks empathy. Like most applications, don't expect to hear back if you're rejected. I was kept hanging and never got a final answer, even when I mentioned another offer's deadline. Just a heads-up, their posting has been up since November 2025 and they keep reposting it.
- Describe how you would build an MVP CV solution for a given {problem}.
Data Scientist
First, I got a take-home assignment with 4 questions that I had to finish within 2 days. Then, I had an interview and a presentation where I discussed one of the questions from the assignment.
- What made you decide to apply for this position?
Data Scientist Intern
It's a 30min interview, you should expect to be grilled on your understanding of key concepts and ideally answer them concisely due to time constraint. There's a 5 minute presentation at the end where you present on your chosen topic. Recommend to be well prepared before the interview.
- Regarding a specific project, what aspects could have been improved?
