I went for the ISRO CS interview back in March 2020 at SAC, Ahmedabad. It was during COVID so the panel ended up joining virtually. After they checked my documents, the technical interview started up. They hit me with questions on TOC, DSA, OS, SDLC, and Java. The panel was pretty chill and seemed to focus on the basics, my academic history, and any work experience I had.

ISRO interviews can be a bit tricky to get through, I think it's largely down to luck. Some folks might get questions aligning with their research interests, while others might not even get a single one. There's a good chance you'll be asked about your project. If you're an ECE major, expect topics like digital electronics, digital & analog communications, linear integrated circuits, microprocessors, control systems, and sometimes computer networks. You might need to explain some concepts using the whiteboard. The panel usually has about 9 to 10 members, with the person in the middle, likely a centre director, heading it. The panel head typically asks HR-related questions.

So my interview was booked for March 16, 2021, at the Lucknow center. I got there at 10 am, handed over my bag and phone, and was told to chill in a hall inside the main building. Around 10-12 of us were in the first batch, just waiting around. They gave us tea and snacks, but honestly, I was too stressed to eat. Waited until 1 pm, then they offered lunch in the office canteen. It was a bit of a walk, so I rushed back to not be late and was out of breath, lol. Right after lunch, at 1:30 pm, I was called in. The room had a setup for an online interview. I sat down facing a screen with several interviewers, and then it started. They asked about my academic background and strong areas, and I talked about my favorite subjects like DSA, OS, CN, and COA. Then the questions began.
