It was pretty straightforward and I felt like everything went well. They laid out all the requirements and made it easy to grasp what they were looking for. I had a good idea of what was expected and how I would be a good fit for the team.

They conducted 2 interviews but it wasn't super organized. They explained the different levels of the job, going from event assistant up to partner. They mentioned they are a non-profit and walked me through the process. The interviewer seemed really enthusiastic.

The interview was pretty simple, it's split into two stages. They really go over the different positions you can move up to. I got hired the same day after the second interview.

This was a classic bait and switch situation. I applied for a Communications Assistant role and was set up for an interview with a manager. However, it quickly became apparent they had no intention of hiring for that specific position. The manager explained their company's model, which they called the Gotham City model or "training the trainer," and it closely resembled the structure of an MLM. The plan was for me to start at the bottom, earning $17/hr, and then work my way up.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The manager gave me the company's background, and I outlined my work history. It was after this that he revealed the "Bait and Switch".
