First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gooroo.
Business Development Associate
We met up at a cafe for the interview. The interviewer mostly asked me about my background in tutoring, and I felt like I explained myself well. They also asked about my future plans and how I see myself continuing with tutoring.
- What makes you interested in this particular role?
Graphic Designer
I got an email and an online interview time was scheduled. Then there was a call interview. After that, I had 3 rounds of interviews with the CEO, Project Manager, and HR, each lasting about 20 minutes. A few days later, I received an offer letter.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Can you describe your design process?
Tutor
I had an interview and they hired me, then asked me to film a sample lesson. Then, requests started coming to me from the team, and I would say I was interested in taking the client, but then I never heard back after that. This happened with over 15 clients. I finally stopped trying.
- They had me do a sample lesson.
Software Engineer
They gave me an android development challenge and I had 3 days to solve it. For people with moderate experience in android development, it should be easy. I got an offer, but the CEO rescinded it. He asked me what salary I wanted, I responded with a quote, and the CEO immediately said that the position is no longer available because they gave it to somebody else. Extremely unprofessional CEO.
