This was one of the best interview processes I've been through. Everyone was really friendly and smart. The questions were all relevant to the role and lined up with the core aspects of product management. My recruiter was great, always on top of things and proactive in keeping me informed. All the interviewers were kind and made an effort to put me at ease so I could do my best.

HR reached out to me to ask me to interview with them if I was interested in the role. The process was supposed to be a 30 min competency based interview with HR rep, then interviews with the team, a group exercise and a whiteboard exercise. I only went to the first interview. It took them almost 2 weeks to let me know I was not able to proceed to the next stage (they were nice about it though). However, I had to chase them for an update as I thought it was quite unprofessional to leave me waiting that long for an answer (it felt like they had forgotten about me, so at least a holding email following the interview could have been nice).

The interview process had about 8 to 10 rounds, and I left after the 7th or 8th. On the plus side, communication with the HR team was smooth, and they responded quickly throughout the interviews. I also felt welcomed during the group interview days. However, one of the 'hangout' interviews ended abruptly with no real closing, just a 'I'm done with my questions.' It would have been nice to have a sentence about when to expect follow-up on next steps. A significant issue was being asked the same question 3-4 times, which made me wonder if notes were being shared effectively. I also noticed a lack of diversity within the organization. It was hard for me to understand how the different parts of the interview process fit together, like the group activity, one-on-one chats, and individual exercises – nothing seemed connected. The role also seemed partly like an admin job, and I wish they had been upfront about that, as the specialists couldn't consistently explain the day-to-day tasks. Finally, when I withdrew from the process and asked for feedback, I had to follow up three times, and it took 2.5 months to get notes that were more feeling-based than based on concrete examples, which was frustrating. Given the multiple interview rounds, providing evidence-based feedback is crucial for the candidate who invested significant time.
