Administrative Assistant
The interview process was really long and took up a lot of time. I went through about 5 interviews, and they all seemed to go well, with two more rounds to go. Then, I was told the position had changed and they weren't hiring for it anymore. A few months later, they reached out again, but the recruitment team acted like I'd have to start all over with the interviews. I politely said no, which was a bummer because I was really keen on the company and had a good vibe with two other Assistants I spoke to. The lack of feedback and understanding from the recruitment team really turned me off.
- What are your thoughts on standard administrative assistant duties?
- Can you describe your experience with typical administrative assistant tasks?
Executive Assistant
The interview process was very thorough! Over 4 months, I had more than 8 interviews, each lasting 30 mins to 1 hour. I also completed a 48-hour assessment. The interviewers asked relevant questions, and the assessment truly reflected the job's responsibilities. However, considering the salary band and experience required, it felt excessive! While I get that the company values collaboration, requiring so much time over such a long period is unnecessary. Plus, at no point was I given any guidance on the final salary offer. I've seen companies that don't interview potential CEOs as extensively as they interviewed me for this role!
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated integrity?
- Could you give examples from previous positions where you handled highly confidential matters?
Executive Assistant
I had a screening interview with an HR person, and the process was stopped without any explanation. A few months before this interview, I had just finished an 8-month interim mission at Google, so I had several very good recommendations that were given to the recruiter. Conclusion: lots of social benefits at Google, no respect for candidates!
