My interview experience with Goodway Group was genuinely one of the best I’ve had. The process was thoughtful, well-paced, and very human from start to finish. Each conversation felt intentional and respectful of my time, with interviewers who were prepared, transparent, and truly engaged. I met with members of the HR Ops and HRBP team, followed by Learning & Development leadership and HR leadership. Every discussion felt collaborative rather than transactional — more like a mutual exploration of alignment than a traditional interview. What stood out most was the consistency across conversations. Everyone I spoke with clearly valued people-first practices, trust, and human-to-human connection, and that showed in both the questions asked and how openly they shared about the culture, challenges, and expectations of the role. Communication throughout the process was clear and timely, and the recruiting team was supportive and transparent around next steps. Overall, the experience left me feeling respected, excited, and confident in my decision to move forward. I’d highly recommend Goodway Group to anyone looking for a company that genuinely practices what it preaches when it comes to culture and people.

The whole interview process took about a month from the first chat with the recruiter to getting the offer. It included four interviews: one with the recruiter, one with the manager, one with leadership, and one with some colleagues. They also had a test/project and a cognitive assessment. All the interviews were virtual, over Zoom. What stood out was how professional and yet friendly everyone was. It’s pretty rare to actually laugh during an interview and feel like you can be yourself, but the team made it super comfortable to just be me, which is awesome since we’d be working together daily. The recruiter was really responsive and kept me updated, so I always knew where things stood. They were also super understanding when I was traveling and flexible with scheduling.

I was rejected after the initial screen because they thought I didn't have the experience I actually do. They said I only have experience in Programmatic, but I've worked across all channels, like Paid Search and Paid Social. They also said I only worked with one client, but I've actually worked across all North American WPP accounts for every media buying agency: EssenceMediacom, Wavemaker, Mindshare, CMI Media Group, etc. This is all on my resume. It's a shame because these companies need to hire the best, but the recruiters can't even screen talent properly.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Despite having experience across all channels including Paid Search and Paid Social, it was stated I only have experience in Programmatic.
  • It was mentioned I have experience with only a single client, when in reality I have experience across all WPP accounts in North America for EssenceMediacom, Wavemaker, Mindshare, CMI Media Group, etc.

I've applied to Goodway Group before and was recently offered an AE role but turned it down due to the bonus structure. I reached out to a recruiter on LinkedIn about a media position. We had a call where she questioned my past applications and why I declined the previous offer after verbally accepting. Her attitude was unprofessional; she was distracted and dismissive, making me feel like she wasn't taking me seriously. When I mentioned needing structure in my next role, she stated that the agency's size wouldn't provide that. This was a very unprofessional recruiter call, leaving me feeling inferior and ashamed. She never followed up, and I suspect I've been blacklisted.
