VP Finance
This interview process for an executive role felt immature and was not suitable for the level of the position. The methods used, like a "Lemonade Stand" presentation, were too basic for a role that needs complex financial strategy and decision-making. The interview panel lacked the experience and insight expected for an executive position, asking superficial questions and sticking to basic templates instead of assessing leadership or financial skills. This approach suggests a controlling culture and a misunderstanding of how to vet senior leaders versus entry-level candidates. Experienced professionals might find this process doesn't respect their time or expertise and might be better suited for those earlier in their careers.
- Regarding Goodr, why do you think it is a good fit?
Customer Service Agent
The interview process was super easy but took weeks between stages. First, there was an HR chat, then a Culture Team chat, and finally an in-person interview at the "Lagoon." The team there is really nice and welcoming, and they give you sunglasses. The building is also vibrant, clean, and colorful. The first two chats were more like casual conversations about company values and fit, with no tough questions. The in-person interview was with three people from the Customer Service team.
- What is your definition of customer service?
- Can you share an experience where you received outstanding customer service?
- How do you manage your workload when things get stressful?
Director of Social Media
I interviewed for the Director of Social Media position. I got through the initial HR and culture interviews. Then I had an in-person panel interview with three people, which was a good experience. Everyone was nice and approachable. However, I felt like they didn't get a full understanding of my background from their questions. I didn't receive an offer, and the job was reposted, which was strange given how pleasant the interviews were.
- Can you describe your leadership approach?
- What's your strategy for dealing with setbacks or failure?
- How do you determine the success of social media efforts?
Intern
The interview process began with a 15-30 minute call with an HR rep who asked about failure and feedback. Then, there were three 20-minute sessions with different interviewers in the same area as the internship. These later sessions felt disorganized; one interviewer didn't introduce the process, and another didn't provide a closing statement about next steps or when to expect a response. One interviewer seemed uninterested and rushed through questions. Despite the emphasis on feedback, the company didn't provide any to candidates who weren't offered positions and didn't respond to feedback requests.
- Can you explain your understanding of feedback?
- Tell me about a time you experienced failure.
- Describe a conflict you had with a colleague and how you resolved it.
