Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process included some behavioural questions where they wanted me to use the STAR method. There was also a simple basic math question to check my quick and logical thinking. I got a tour of the facility. No written test or assessment was given.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The HR round was smooth and well-structured, making for a great first impression. The technical round was aligned with the expectations for the role, covering relevant theoretical concepts and a coding exercise. The overall process was well-organized and professional. Behavioral

It started with a typical HR call where they asked about my background and described the job. Then things got weird with a few red flags. First, when I asked about the hiring timeline after they finished their questions, he was vague and said it would take as long as it takes. Then, instead of giving me the budget, he asked for my salary expectations. I pushed back, saying I'd prefer to know their budget first since the JD didn't mention it, and he ended up explaining salary research to me before finally giving me a range. When I said I was okay with it, he insisted I state a specific number. I chose the higher end of their range, and he implied I wasn't qualified for it, which felt premature for an initial HR call. The rest of the conversation was also awkward and a bit abrasive. I asked about a DEI committee, and he said the company was too small, which contradicted its stated employee count. When I asked about work-life balance and boundaries, he initially seemed confused and then defensively said people can message after hours, and it's up to me if I reply, which is concerning given the lack of company policy on it. He finished by saying he'd get back to me in a week, but I never heard from him, which felt like a brush-off. Honestly, it felt like dodging a bullet, but the unprofessional handling of the HR call was surprising. If this is typical of their HR team and they don't prioritize diversity or work-life balance, their low rating seems justified.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

The interview process involved a phone screening where the interviewer was 15 minutes late and there was a one-week waiting period for the next step. This was followed by an interview with the Hiring Manager, after which I waited ten days for an answer. Then, I completed a case study, received the results in two days, and was scheduled for the next step within 7 days. The final step was a case study presentation with the Hiring Manager. After two follow-up emails with no response and a 16-day wait, I was informed that I would not be moving forward, with no feedback provided. It's frustrating to be ghosted after reaching the final round, especially when expecting feedback.
