First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gonzaga University.
Operations Assistant
It was a pretty chill interview with some basic questions about organization. Super straightforward. Only took one round and I got my offer fast. Overall, a good experience. Just be prepped for situational questions and how you'd deal with clients.
- What cereal would you be and explain your choice?
Front Desk Concierge
After I applied, I had a few in-person interviews with the different supervisors. They got back to me pretty fast after each round, so I wasn't left wondering about the job. The first interview was about my experience, and the second one went into more detail about requirements and when I could work. They also wanted to see how I'd be as a student, how I'd handle my time, and if I was someone they could count on for the job.
- How would you handle a scenario where someone needs help?
Intern
So for the GU Athletics intern gig, first you send in your application, then there's an interview where you chat about your experience, skills, and how much you love sports management. They'll hit you with some behavioral and situational stuff to see how you solve problems and work with others.
- What makes you want to work here?
IT
You apply on the website for Gonzaga. Then you manage your resume and other info. HR will usually call you for interviews about a week after the posting closes, or you'll get a letter if you didn't get the job. IT interviews usually happen in the IT conference room on the lower level of Foley Library. IT always interviews by committee. They ask standard questions about things like conflict resolution and problem solving. Make sure you know the Gonzaga Mission Statement from their website.
