Software Developer
the hiring manager called me for an interview, no hr people involved, the interview process went well, the manager was very nice, they asked about past projects and the platform used.
- Tell me about the projects you have worked on.
- Which programming tools have you utilized?
Account Executive
After applying, I got a really fast response to do a personality profile and a learning aptitude test. Once I passed those, I had to call to set up a 1:1 interview. They were upfront about what to expect and what's next. They hire a lot of people (30-40) knowing that most won't make it.
- What do you know about the precious metals industry?
Mail Clerk
A friend working at the company told me about this opening. After a couple of chats through my friend, I got a call. Apparently, my friend put in a good word, so this call was just to set up an interview. When I got there, I had to wait a bit because the interviewer was tied up, which was a little annoying since I had a scheduled time. I waited first in the reception area, then in a conference room. The interview eventually started, and I was nervous, but the interviewer made me feel comfortable. They gave me some background on the company, its leadership, and its business, and then explained the role's responsibilities. We then discussed my background and experience. Despite it being my first administrative role, I was hired on the spot because of the recommendation.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this position?
Account Executive
It was a pretty fast interview process with only one interview. I got the job offer by phone the same week and they sent the offer letter after that. I got the job because my old manager recommended me. They mostly asked questions to see if they liked my personality and if I was likeable. Your experience and background didn't seem to matter much.
- Could you sell me this pen?
