First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Golden West Food Group.
Accountant
I had an interview with the manager and director back-to-back. The final round was with the CFO. They asked questions based on my resume. Then, they presented an accounting scenario and asked how I would respond or fix the problem.
- What are your career goals with this company?
- Could you share your objectives during your time here?
- What are your aims at this company for the duration of your employment?
Research Associate
They had a 10min computer test for typing speed, and then a second interview with the manager. The interview was short, like 30min. The place looked busy. They didn't respond with interview results.
- Why are you looking to change jobs?
Accountant
First, I had to do an Excel test where I needed to calculate totals. After that, I filled out an application and then met with the controller. The controller was not friendly and got straight to the point. They asked basic interview questions and seemed rushed.
- What is your approach to dealing with accounts that cannot be collected?
- Can you walk me through your resume?
Regulatory Labeling Specialist
The interview process felt pretty disorganized and not very professional. They were late to the first meeting, and then for the rescheduled one, only one person showed up when there were supposed to be two for the panel. The way they talked about the company wasn't great, and some comments about a partner organization were weird and inappropriate. The offer was also a letdown, with only 5 days of vacation offered per year for 5 years, which is really low compared to what's normal. The whole package just felt underwhelming.
- Do you have experience with USDA products?
- Have you previously submitted product labels for USDA approval?
