The interview was 30 minutes long and done virtually with 3 people from the department. Only I had my camera on. They kept asking if I knew how to do things in a demanding way. At the end of 30 mins, they said time was up and I had to rush my questions. When I asked about the company, they said my questions should be about working in the department. It felt like an interrogation. I remembered why I withdrew my application five years ago for the same job. I withdrew again because the department's interactions haven't changed. The interview time should be longer for a panel of 3. This process needs to change, especially for jobs with few applicants. I took another job for less money because they value my expertise and I prefer a friendly team over this demanding environment.

Behavioral Other

This was the worst interview I've had in over 20 years. The staff seemed unprepared, I wasn't on their calendar, and some people were unprofessional. The CIO was rude, and the IT manager acted unprofessionally, mistreating his team and peers in front of me. I decided not to join within the first 10 minutes. No way I'm accepting this offer.

I went through 4 rounds of interviews. I met with each manager in the department to get to know them. After that, there was a significant waiting period before the next interview. Each interview was spaced about a week apart, so the whole process took approximately 4 weeks.
