The interview process was very smooth and informative. They shared a lot of interesting things about the position and seemed pretty transparent. I am very excited to start my career with Golden Nugget and hope it’s as good as I think it will be.

The F&B managers, Donny and Char, conducted the interviews. They seemed really annoyed and arrogant sometimes because they had to interview so many people. If you didn't have "strip" experience, they would pretty much end the interview right away, even if you had off-strip casino experience. You'd end up waiting for over 90 minutes, only to have less than 90 seconds for them to interview you if they weren't impressed with your work history.

I was given a 3 day notice (over the weekend type time notice). It wasn't at all what I had feared. The staff was quite professional and seemed to have everything and everyone organized to get in and on their way to the next phase, which was applications on their computers. Lastly everyone was handed a packet which was an application to a background check/gaming license with the last 3 pages to be notorized, with the option to use a firm they used so no out of pocket expense.

The casino was hiring for a lot of positions because the grand opening was approaching. The interview process involved a large group of candidates being interviewed in a big room, with individuals called up one by one. I applied to several restaurants and had a good interview with an Asian restaurant called Lillies. I think I was hired because I am Asian and they were looking for young Asian staff.
