Behavioral Case

It was a straightforward interview with scenario-based questions about working with people with SSI and special needs. I thought it was a good, reflective interview that covered all the expected questions for a social worker role. They provided some scenarios before the interview to think about and used them to evaluate my responses. I'd focus on assessment based on case history and empathy.

Behavioral

The interview process took about 3 months and was quite strange. The recruiter was unreasonable and unethical, repeatedly pushing me to relocate across the country to the Bay Area before any offer was made, despite knowing I was on the East Coast. Ultimately, I declined their offer because it was significantly lower than market rate and my previous salary. The offer also didn't account for my Master's degree in a different field. They offered me the position based on my Bachelor's degree in a different discipline, so I questioned why my Master's wasn't recognized and reflected in the salary. Upon checking LinkedIn, none of their current social workers seemed to have a relevant social work background.

Behavioral Case

The interview process involved 3 interviews and a written assignment. The written part was given on a Friday to be completed over the weekend. It asked about how you would help a client in certain situations. Then there were three interviews: a phone call with a recruiter, and two in-person interviews. The in-person interviews included a panel of 3-4 people, made up of Case Managers and some lead social workers.
