First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GoJet Airlines.
Captain
It was a virtual interview. Pretty straightforward. They asked some basic FAR questions and how I would brief an approach. They checked my eligibility, minimum flight hours, first-class medical certificate, and passport. They also confirmed my flight hours for the Direct Entry Captain role.
- Can you brief an approach plate using LEDOS plates?
Flight Attendant
Applied online and got an email for a group interview pretty fast. Before the interview, I had to finish an online certificate that needed to be printed. On the day, I got there early, like an hour or two before, to make a good impression and meet people because being friendly to everyone is super important and you never know who's watching. Recruiters greeted us, took our documents, and then we waited for a presentation about the company, pay, benefits, hours, and their tattoo policy. After a break, those with visible tattoos left. Then, we all stood up to introduce ourselves and explain why we want to be a flight attendant. We had another break while waiting for a list to be posted outside. If your name was on the list, you got a one-on-one interview; if not, you went home. My name was on the list! After more waiting, we were called in one by one for the face-to-face interview, which had simple situational and customer service questions. I felt confident it went well, even though it was a bit intimidating, just gotta be yourself. I interviewed on Friday and got a CJO on Monday. Good luck!

Flight Attendant
I interviewed with Gojet airline back in May 2017. The whole thing moved pretty quickly. After submitting my online application, I heard back about three weeks later via email, inviting me to a recruiting event. Just a heads-up, you're on your own for travel and accommodation costs. Make sure to dress professionally. When we got there, they gave us a quick rundown of the company and the job. Then, there was a short break for anyone who didn't meet the requirements or decided it wasn't for them to leave. After that, we did brief introductions where each person answered one of three questions. We then had a longer break while the recruiters reviewed applications and selected who would move on to the face-to-face interviews. They posted a list on the door, and if your number had a 'yes' next to it, you stayed. This was followed by a more in-depth presentation about the role, and then the one-on-one interviews happened. About two days after that, I got an email letting me know if I was invited to training.
- Tell me about your biggest inspiration in life.
- What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
- Where in the world would you choose to travel if you could go anywhere?
Flight Dispatcher
Got a call from the recruiter pretty quick after applying. It was more like chatting about my background than an actual interview. They invited me to St. Louis for a proper interview, covering my travel and a hotel. Since I just finished dispatch school, the interview was mostly straightforward. I met with a duty manager from the SOC who read questions from a script about weather and dispatch rules. I missed one about Exemption 3585, but they said it wasn't a big deal. Afterward, I met some people in the SOC and chatted with a couple of dispatchers. A couple of weeks later, I went back for a drug test and fingerprinting, and they also finished my background check. About a week after that, I got a job offer over the phone and my start date was set for two weeks later.
- What does Exemption 3585 allow us to do?
- Decode the provided METAR and TAF, focusing on essential information and noting that remarks beyond AO1 or AO2 aren't critical.
- Based on the approach plate, what are the minimums?
