First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GoGuardian.
Software Engineer
They reached out about the role and set up a technical interview. The first one got cancelled last minute and rescheduled for the next day. For the second attempt, I was on time but nobody showed up. I contacted HR, but she didn't respond right away. About 30 minutes later, she got back to me saying a production issue caused the cancellation, and I wasn't told ahead of time. She said it would be rescheduled, but I never heard back. Honestly, it felt pretty unprofessional.
- Can you tell me about your experience with Go?
Customer Success Manager
The interview had four stages. During the initial screening, it became apparent that the job advertised was not what the company was actually looking for, as they are seeking an Expansion rep instead of a Customer Success Manager. Additionally, the stated base salary of $120K was inaccurate; the actual compensation is $75K base with $45K in variable pay. I suggest the company be more upfront about their role and pay structure in job postings to avoid wasting candidates' time and damaging their reputation.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your interest in GoGuardian?
Customer Education Specialist
The whole thing was pretty smooth and clear. I started with a quick chat with HR, then I talked to the hiring manager who asked me some good questions about how I learn and if I’d be a good fit. After that, I did a short demo to show off what I can do. The last step was talking with two people on the team I might join. It was all very open and moved fast, and I got an offer about a week after. It was a good experience overall, and I learned a lot about the company culture and what they expect.

QA Engineer
So, I recently interviewed with this company, went through four rounds. It started with the recruiter. A while back, I had a similar experience, I made it to the final stages, just one interview left, but the day before, they canceled it because the position was filled. They said to keep in touch, which I did. A few months later, the same recruiter contacted me about a similar role. We exchanged many emails, but no interview was set up, and then they said they had a hiring freeze. Fast forward a few years, I applied for a new position, and I felt my experience and the role were an even better fit this time. After several rounds, they informed me the night before my final interview that someone else had been hired and my interview was canceled. I get that decisions are complex, but this keeps happening, and it's really frustrating. I put a lot of time and effort into these interviews, and I hope they improve how they communicate with candidates, especially with timing and being upfront.
- Given your ability to automate tests and write code, what makes you prefer staying in QA instead of moving into a development role?
