Customer Success Manager
Great recruitment process. The company was responsive and really understood the candidate's expectations to ensure aligned foundations, saving time for both the candidate and the company. I recommend this company for future interviews.
- What brought you to apply?
- Why did you choose CSM roles?
Customer Success Manager
I went through a really long online application for this role which included seven interviews and a case study. First, I had an initial phone call with HR. Then, a 30-minute interview with HR where we talked about the company and the role. After that, I had a 45-minute call with the team lead to go deeper into the role and how the team works. The next step was a case study where I had to create a QBR presentation for a made-up client. This was followed by a 30-minute roleplay call to present and defend my case study. Then, there was a 30-minute call with someone from the Sales Department, which wasn't a great experience; they said the company needed to make people come to the office because offices are expensive, asked why I spoke good English, and made some negative comments about my country. Following that, I had an office visit that lasted 30 minutes, and then a second 30-minute office visit. Finally, I had a last phone call with HR to talk about salary expectations, but they told me they couldn't meet my desired salary. I kept asking about salary bands throughout the process, but they always said they needed budget confirmation, and I kept stating my salary expectations. In the end, I got an email saying they decided not to hire anyone for the team. Gofluent says it offers a 'hybrid' mode, but it's not really true; they want you in the office 4 days a week. And for the first three months, you have to go every day, only to be stuck in online meetings.
- Can you explain your motivation for seeking a new role at a different company?
- What's the reason behind your proficient English speaking skills?
- Describe a situation where you had to decline a client's request. How did you handle it, and what was the client's response?
Customer Success Manager
The regional CSM director reached out on LinkedIn. The first meeting was with the regional CSM team manager. Then, I had to prepare a presentation about contract renewal, acting as a role model, and the director and manager were present. I was told there might be a final, informal intro meeting with the Sales VP. After finishing everything, I was notified that the role would be filled by someone abroad and the position in my country was put on hold.
- How have you managed customer conflicts in the past?
- What do you consider the most crucial strength for a CSM to achieve success?
