First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Goddard Riverside Community Center.
Youth Coordinator
The interview process was really engaging. It felt like the people there were passionate and genuinely interested in getting to know me. The questions were pretty standard behavioral ones. However, the follow-up process took a considerable amount of time.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
Case Manager
I had a good interview with both upper and direct management. It was clear from the conversation that this is a very open environment where real people are doing meaningful work. This isn't the place for someone just looking to do social services as a simple job.
- Can you share a difficult situation you've encountered?
- Are you familiar with harm reduction?
- What do you know about safety models?
Youth Council Fellow
I interviewed to be part of a small team division. It went pretty well. The staff confirmed that my mission and values were aligned with theirs. This is important for doing social impact work.
- What motivated you to apply for this position?
Outreach
It was a very strange process and did not feel like an interview. In addition, I was illegally asked for a copy of my driver’s license. There was no follow up after the interview.
- What makes you want this job?
