Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GoDaddy.
Operations Manager
It was a two-round technical interview process with a significant amount of time between each one. Each session lasted about an hour. They really dug into my past work and my overall profile. They also explained the role and responsibilities clearly and did a general background check.
- Can you discuss your operations strategy?
- Tell me about how you optimize costs.
- What are your forward-looking plans for operations?
Supervisor
It was a panel interview with 5-6 people. It felt unorganized, with awkward silences, like they weren't sure who should ask questions. One person looked unhappy the whole time, and another had his arms crossed, showing disinterest. The person who did ask questions had his voice trail off.
- What is your motivation for joining this company?
- What makes you a better candidate than an internal applicant?
Operations Manager
I had a recruiter call, and then 3 more interview rounds, all virtual and spaced about a week apart. I got the offer the following week. The interviews were pretty informal and everyone was easy to talk to.
- Tell me about a time you managed a complex project.
