Recruiter reached out to me over linkedin. The interview process is very slow, and responses for each round took about a week. There were a total of 5 rounds: 1st was DS Algo in JS (easy), 2nd was LLD (medium), 3rd was Problem Solving (easy), and the 4th was supposed to be system design but the interviewer ended up asking LLD + Problem solving (easy).

I got contacted by a recruiting coordinator, and they told me I was moving on to the interview rounds. They also mentioned another recruiter would reach out to set up the interviews, which was a bit confusing since I wasn't sure who did what. We had two interviews, each lasting about an hour. The first one was with the hiring manager. We spent the first half talking about the team and the product. They asked me the 'tell me about yourself' question, and I got plenty of time to ask about team culture and the work. The second half was a coding test on Hackerrank. It was pretty straightforward, just testing basic JavaScript concepts like closures and arrays. Nothing too complicated. We then talked about how to make it better and what certain things were called. The interviewer was really nice and understanding when I wasn't sure about something. The second interview followed the same format, but this time with the team's tech lead. The coding part was also on Hackerrank, but it was a practical React assessment. I had to build a UI based on some requirements. I ran into some bugs and was allowed to search online for help, but I didn't finish everything on time. They let me explain how I would have finished the rest, though. Three days later (not counting the weekend), the recruiting coordinator emailed and called to let me know I passed. The written offer came three days after that.

The interview started with a phone screening that involved using an online development platform. This was followed by an onsite interview. They don't really focus on the candidate's knowledge. If you're good at typing and can handle their online development platform, you can get a job here. I think they try to be too clever for their own good. There was just one interviewer who focused on the knowledge and didn't care if the program ran on their tool, which was the most enjoyable part of the interview. The other exercises just focused on whether you could type fast and find the syntax on Google. If you want to nail your interview, I recommend practicing for at least a day doing programs in this development platform and finding out how to add libraries like jQuery. Don't bother refreshing on security or basic JavaScript concepts, they don't care.
