First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GoDaddy.
Content Analyst
I got the job description and some info from a recruiter on LinkedIn, then I sent my resume. A few days later, that recruiter scheduled interviews with 3 people from the department. They were all back-to-back on the same day in January 2024 via Zoom. The first interview was pretty standard, but the interviewer seemed uninterested. The second interviewer was more thorough and I noticed she checked my LinkedIn beforehand. The third interviewer was a bit aggressive and asked good questions, but kept emphasizing that certifications aren't the main focus, which was odd since the job didn't require them and I never brought them up. She was also dismissive for no clear reason. I tried to stay positive because I really do enjoy my work in trust and safety. After the third interview, I figured it wouldn't work out. I never got a rejection, just ghosted. This job is basically a content moderator role but within GoDaddy's security organization. It was an okay experience overall, and I don't want the third interviewer to overshadow the others; it's all a learning experience.
- Have you had any experience with CSAM?
Content Specialist
Started with a recruiter call about the role, who then passed my resume along. After they liked my resume, we scheduled a phone screen, which was about 30-40 minutes. The recruiter encouraged me to complete the online application, which I did. Following that, I received an email about my interview and had two 30-minute interviews. I also had an hour to complete an assessment that involved responding to reviews (five-star, three-star, and one-star), creating social media content, and editing a paragraph. I felt pretty good about it, given my background in Journalism and Public Relations. I sent a thank you note, but didn't hear back until I followed up via email. The recruiter then informed me I didn't get the job.
- Can you tell me about a project you're particularly proud of that you've worked on?
Content Specialist
The interview process was personable, efficient, and transparent about the opportunity. They're not trying to hide anything because their culture is so fantastic. When I was in the final decision-making process regarding an offer, I asked the recruiter to connect me with the director of the department because I didn't have a chance to connect with her during the interviewing process. I was in a major time crunch because of another offer on the table, and the recruiter made it happen within a couple of hours! Totally impressed me with how above and beyond they went with helping me decide on the career opportunity - very transparent.
