First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GoCanvas.
Account Manager
It was a 3-step interview process for me. First, I had a phone interview with the recruiter, who was really helpful in giving me details about the job. Then, I had a Zoom call with the hiring manager, and they made it easy for me to be myself. The final round was a Zoom meeting with the VP of Sales. The whole thing took a couple of weeks, but it was a good experience overall.
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with a challenging situation?
Product Manager
The interview was pretty straightforward. First, a screening interview with a recruiter to go over your background, discuss salary, and talk about the job. Then, in the second round, you'll meet a team member and answer some product-related questions. They'll share a bit more about the product, its functionality, and future direction, and you're expected to ask product-level questions. This particular interview emphasized challenges faced as a product manager and taking true ownership of features. Make sure you're ready to talk about these!
- Can you describe a time you had to manage conflicting desires between two stakeholders?
- Could you share some difficulties you've encountered in your role as a product manager?
- Tell me about an instance where you took full ownership of a product feature.
Customer Marketing Specialist
I had four interviews, each lasting between 20 and 45 minutes. First was a screening interview, then the hiring manager, followed by a cross-functional team member, and finally, a senior leadership team interview. The whole process was super fast and really nice. Everyone was on time, knew their stuff, and even stayed a bit late to answer my questions. The recruitment lead was so nice and sent feedback right after each session. I really wanted the job after talking to everyone!
- Can you share some significant career successes and failures, and what insights you gained from the failures?
- In what ways will your previous experience be advantageous for this position?
- Describe your ideal management approach.
Mobile Forms Designer
There were three steps in the interview process: first, an HR interview, then a task where I had to use GoCanvas software, and finally, an interview with the manager I'd be working with. The whole thing was pretty chill, from beginning to end. GoCanvas seems to really care about hiring people with the right attitude and who are good at solving problems.
- Can you tell me about your past experiences?
- What are your relevant skills?
- How do you prefer to be managed?
