Account Manager
The interview process was very positive, with excellent communication that made me feel welcome and valued. If I hadn't received a better offer elsewhere, I would have accepted this one. I'll definitely consider this company again later in my career.
- Can you share an instance where you faced a challenge and describe how you successfully navigated it?
Social Media Specialist
The interview process started with a phone interview with HR, which was pretty standard. The HR person, Julie, seemed really enthusiastic about the company and genuinely wanted me to succeed. Next was an at-home assessment with 10 Excel questions that checked my knowledge of formulas and my ability to explain my thinking. It was quite straightforward, and HR was helpful with any questions I had. The final stage was a panel interview that lasted about an hour and included a lot of questions. I'd heard from another review about inappropriate comments during interviews, but thankfully, HR was present during mine, and no such remarks were made. It felt like they made an extra effort to ensure that didn't happen. The only downside was the rejection email came from an unmonitored address, so I couldn't reply.
- Which blogs do you regularly read?
- How would you improve our existing Social Media Strategy?
Business Development
It started with a phone interview then moved to an in person interview. The "partners" are extremely unprofessional and it seemed like they were putting on a show by making fun of each other. Some other Glassdoor reviews mentioned bullying/harassment tactics. I totally got this vibe during my interview. I can confirm that during my interview one of the partners made the same comment that a reviewer left "why are we paying you?". He was referring to comments he has made to a staff member. Definitely did not leave feeling like Go Local was an ideal place to work.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment with us?
Content Coordinator
I had two interviews, starting with a recruiter chat over zoom, and then an in-person panel interview. Right after the first interview, I was given a take-home assignment and had 48 hours to finish it. The task was to create a new location page for a client's website in the self storage business. The second interview was actually scheduled before I even turned in the assessment.
- Can you describe your task prioritization methods?
- What do you consider the three most important metrics for digital content success and health?
