Digital Marketing Project Manager
Pros: The initial communication during the application process was prompt, and the company seemed to have an interesting portfolio of work. Cons: My experience with the interview process was disappointing and unprofessional. I waited in the meeting room for an interview where no one showed up. There was no prior communication to inform me of any issues or reschedule, leaving me confused and frustrated. To make matters worse, I later received a response implying that I had recorded the meeting—something I never did, nor could I have done since I was not the host. This assumption was made without any confirmation or direct communication with me, and the lack of professionalism in handling this situation was astonishing. The very issue that caused the problem—lack of communication—was ironically cited as a reason for their concern, even though it was entirely on their end. A simple message to clarify or reschedule could have resolved this misunderstanding. Advice to Management: Take steps to improve your candidate experience. Basic professional courtesy, clear communication, and respect for candidates' time are essential in representing your company's values. Address issues directly with candidates before making assumptions, and ensure the interview process reflects the standards of professionalism and transparency you expect from your employees.
- Where do you see yourself professionally in the next five years?
Project Manager
The interview process with Go Fish Digital was a comprehensive and extended one, lasting 6 weeks, with a 2-week pause for the holidays. This thoroughness reflects Go Fish's dedication to ensuring a strong mutual fit for all new hires. By the end of the process, I had a clear understanding of the company culture and felt assured in accepting their offer. Throughout the interviews, I engaged with three Senior Project Managers, three Directors (across Content, Paid Media, and Project Management), and the COO. A significant part of the process involved completing a work sample focused on digital marketing strategy, which I then presented to a panel.

PPC Analyst
The interview was pretty standard, but I had a few issues. The manager was exercising during our chat after I was asked to make a presentation, which made me more nervous. They said I'd get feedback the next week, but I never heard anything until I followed up. I get that people are busy, but after spending 10 hours on the presentation, a quick email would've shown they valued my time. The team seemed nice and the job could be a good fit, but the experience left a less-than-ideal impression. The people seemed nice enough and the job might be great. I just didn't get the best impression after that.
- How would you leverage LinkedIn and other search platforms for client advertising?
Paid Social Ads Strategist
I went through two rounds of interviews at Go Fish, starting with a recruiter call, then another with someone from the team. The recruiter was great and really sold me on the role. But the second interview felt like an interrogation, really blunt and fast-paced. The interviewer seemed more interested in what I *couldn't* do than what I could, which blindsided me because the recruiter made me feel like I was a good fit. It seemed like there wasn't good communication between the recruiter and the interviewers, as they were looking for skills I don't have. The job description itself was also unclear. This company wasn't transparent with candidates at all, and they're really protective of hiring manager contact info, even denying requests to send a thank you note. They said they wanted someone who was a 'lifelong learner' wanting to grow with them, but that didn't seem true at all. They're really just looking for a perfect match who will work the most for the least pay.
- Have you managed campaigns focused on revenue generation?
