First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Glumac.
Senior Electrical Engineer
I was contacted by Glumac recruiters multiple times and finally went through their interview process. The first two rounds went well, with interviews from a Senior VP and the department lead. I got a verbal offer from HR after these chats. But later that day, I got an email for another interview with a director. This interview made it clear they were confused about the role and my experience/goals. After this third interview, I heard nothing for days. When I followed up with HR, they said they weren't moving forward with my application. I asked for feedback but was ghosted. Advice for others: Apply online early. I interviewed before applying, which might have caused confusion about pay and role expectations. Clarify pay expectations upfront to avoid wasting time. The HR/recruiter team didn't meet the company's standards. A retracted verbal offer and poor communication/feedback are bad signs. Still, I enjoyed talking to the Senior VP and department lead; they were professional and engaging. Wishing them and Glumac the best.

Engineer
There were 2 separate virtual interviews. The first interview was kinda awkward. Met with the top managers of the company and they did not say much. I had to do all the talking. The second interview was very accommodation and gave me more insight of my role and the company. However, the hiring process is horrendous. HR recruiter is not professional at all and is not fit for her position.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Director of Human Resources
I reached out to someone I knew at the firm, who connected me with the hiring manager, the CFO. She was interested in my resume, and after I sent it, I got a call within a few days to set up a phone interview with her and an external HR Consultant. The call lasted about 1.5 hours, with the consultant mostly quiet while the CFO and I talked a lot, and it went really well. The next day, I was called to schedule an in-person interview for that Friday. I met with the CFO and two other principals from the Board's HR Committee. That interview was almost 2 hours long. One principal had to leave early for other interviews they were conducting. Towards the end, the President & CEO joined to introduce himself and ask what he could do to convince me to join, which made me think they were about to offer me the job. Both the CFO and another principal kept talking as if I would accept the offer, with one even mentioning he was impressed by my enthusiasm for their people strategy. Before I left, the CFO gave me a tour of the office and introduced me to the Office Manager, so I felt confident about getting the job. I got an email from the CFO after sending my thank-you note, saying they had one more candidate to interview and I'd hear soon about a follow-up call with her and the HR Consultant. A week and a half passed without any contact. I followed up with a call and finally got an email saying they had planned the second call but the organization decided to go in a different direction. It makes me wonder if they would have even given me feedback if I hadn't followed up. It seems like their talk about being talent-centric might have just been words.

Engineering Intern
It was a meet and greet, and then an intro interview. There were supposed to be two interviews total but I didn't get picked for the second one. The interviewer was cool and I thought it went well, but I guess not.
