I went through the whole interview process and then they ghosted me. Honestly, this is the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. The actual interview loop was pretty good though. It had a good mix of coding, design, and behavioral questions. Lots of talking, not much coding, which was nice. They seemed more interested in understanding how my brain works instead of just how much time I've spent on LeetCode.

It was a rotating interview with different team members. The whole day was centered around a project that you start working on before the interview and then continue to build on it during the day. It included lunch with potential colleagues.

This was a multi-day interview process, and I was compensated a couple hundred dollars for 10-15k worth of consulting work. Glowforge's vision, my own maker affinity, and Tony (head of product & design) really made this seem like a dream job. However, I observed a 'stockholm syndrome' type of culture, with a lot of stress and a lack of leadership. It seemed like lower-level employees were basically 'whipped' into action by the CEO/leadership for reasons that weren't always clear. I really wanted this job, but maybe it's for the best that it didn't work out. I've waited a few weeks to post this feedback to keep my identity private.
