Product Owner
The interview process was great, honest, quick, warm, polite and interesting. I was heading towards the final round but then felt ghosted for over a week. I reached out to the hiring manager and found out they hired someone else and I was their second choice they kept on the side. I would have appreciated being told this upfront instead of me reaching out to find out I was rejected, especially since they seemed very interested. Despite this, I still have a very positive feeling about the company and am keen to work with them in the future.

Technical Project Manager
I got referred by someone I knew from a previous job, but I think the process is the same for everyone. First, a recruiter sent me a letter about the job and salary. I told the recruiter I was interested, so we set up an initial call. After that, I interviewed with my potential direct supervisor. Then, they told me they had another candidate who was further along and had been offered the job, and that they didn't have any other TPM roles open right now but would let me know if something came up. About a week or two later, they contacted me about a new position and scheduled four 45-minute interviews with different department leads. After those, I had my final two interviews with the COO and the head of HR. Then, I got the offer.

Software Engineer
I had 3 rounds of phone interviews. The first was with the manager, where we had a good chat about Glooko and how blood sugar meters work. The second round, I breezed through some coding problems in C++ and think I did well. The third round, someone grilled me on Python code optimization. I talked about multi-threading, multi-processing, and cython, but also mentioned that if you really need to optimize Python for performance, you should probably rewrite it in C++. The interviewer didn't seem to agree, as many people think Python is sufficient for most tasks with just optimization. I got rejected soon after, with the typical 'skills better suit our company' line, which I suspect was really about my views on Python vs. other languages.
- How might one go about optimizing Python code that is running slowly?
Marketing Director
I applied for a marketing position back in November 2024. After a really long silence for five months, I finally got a quick message in April 2025. They said they weren't going to fill the job after all. This whole thing makes me think they lacked focus, urgency, and clear goals, both in their marketing leadership and how they value marketing in the company. It also makes me super worried about ghost jobs, which I think should be illegal. It takes effort to look into a company, read the job description, fill out the application, and write a good cover letter. People applying deserve way better than to have their work ignored by companies that don't even plan to, or can't, hire for the roles they post. Honestly, this whole experience confirms the meh reviews I saw online about their culture and leadership. Looking back, I'm actually glad I didn't get hired, because this kind of indecisiveness sounds like a company that might just lay off new hires a few months down the line.
