It was a long interview. You're made to sit in an office and wait for someone to come and talk to you. They asked standard questions plus some personal ones. The whole thing felt very, very long.

They make you wait 60-90 minutes after your scheduled interview time. While doing this, they have you fill out a paper application straight out of 1990 that includes your grade school name. Don’t waste your time.

I saw an ad on craigslist and applied. After I filled out a SQL query quiz, the CEO got mad at me for not knowing SQL, and I said I wrote MYSQL queries. Then I was asked to solve a riddle about marbles and weight. The office had a lot of cubicles, and the conference room was nice, but the employees looked packed in. The building was nice but seemed empty of other tenants. All the workers looked miserable and unhappy to be there. They said we could talk more if I agreed to a 2-year commitment, but I'm glad I didn't get an offer.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • If you are asked to write SQL, make sure to use MS SQL.
  • Know your riddles because the CEO might not be a programmer and may not ask you to write code.

I saw an Account Manager job on Craigslist and applied. I got an email response quickly and set up an interview. When I got there, the interviewer seemed surprised, saying he thought the interview was next week, which apparently messed up his day, showing me how disorganized they were. I waited around 20 minutes, then interviewed with two people who asked similar questions, even asking me what job I was interviewing for because they didn't seem sure what roles they had open. Near the end, they gave me a script to call after hours and asked me to email them with answers to about 4 questions I could find on their website. They also wanted me to write a one-page proposal at home for a bank about one of their products. While I appreciated the chance, I emailed them right after getting home to withdraw my application. I wouldn't want to work for a company like that.
