First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Global Prairie.
Copywriter
I interviewed for a copywriter role and didn't get an offer. I think not having a strong answer for why I wanted to work at Global Prairie specifically was a big reason why. The interviewer didn't ask anything about my portfolio or qualifications, which I found a bit strange. I emailed them for feedback on how I could be a better candidate but haven't heard back after a week.

Demand Generation Manager
The interviews weren't too intense but could have been more efficient. Everything was done over Zoom. I started with two separate 1-on-1s with different team leads, about a week and a half apart. Then I was asked to prep a case study for a potential client. A week later, I had a 2-hour interview with 4 different team members. I thought it would be a panel, but it was actually 4 separate interviews back-to-back. It felt like there wasn't much coordination between the interviewers, as I ended up answering the same questions multiple times. After that, one of the team leads left, and the whole process fell apart; the position was never filled.
- For a client launching a new marketing campaign initiative to reach new prospects, with a set budget of $300,000 over the next 3 months, targeting all of Ohio but with a heightened focus on the Cleveland metro area, and aiming to reach women 35+ to download a guide on breast cancer, what would your channel/tactic recommendations be?
- How would you align budgets for this campaign?
- Provide a brief explanation of the 'why' behind your suggestions.
Senior Associate
I first spoke with a recruiter, and then with Global Prairie HR. I really liked talking to the head of people, who then advanced me to a creative director. The creative director was very nice and insightful about the role and work, but it was a huge red flag that this interview happened on a federal holiday, especially since the agency claims to value work-life balance. The interview went well enough, and I moved to the next round. This round was with two managing directors, and it was the most condescending interview I've ever had. They were evasive about working hours and office culture. One of them criticized my 'conception' of previous creative teams I'd worked with, and the projects they described conflicted with what the creative director had shared. It also seemed like they either over-bill clients or work very long hours (10-11 daily). They were not receptive to my questions about the role, and this is where I stopped in the interview process. I'm disappointed not to get an offer, but I wouldn't have taken it after that last interview.

Project Manager
I found out about Global Prairie through Creative Circle. I applied for the PM role, but they ended up interviewing me for the Client Service role instead because of my background. The initial screener went well. The second interview was about thirty minutes and it was clear the interviewer wasn't prepared. It always seems like interviews go better when the interviewer actually looks at the information they were given beforehand. This person clearly hadn't, which made me wonder why I was even talking to them. At the end of the call, she made it sound like I was moving forward, saying things like "i'll tell the talent acquisition lead that we had a good convo and see who you need to speak with next." That kind of comment is unnecessary if that wasn't the plan. After that, I never heard back. The whole experience gave me a good sense of the company's culture.
- Can you describe your methods for managing budgets?
